StridePod
Stay low. Stay steady. Stay clean. The StridePod Kit is designed for photographers who need ground-level perspectives without crawling through sand and mud. This rugged 3D-printed pod mounts your tripod head securely and attaches firmly to a small bodyboard using the included plugs. You can then easily push your gear across the sand keeping a low profile and the grit out of your gear.
Compared to lying flat in mud or sand, the StridePod Kit is a cleaner, safer way to work at ground level. By fixing your tripod head to a compact bodyboard, the pod slides smoothly across sand, mudflats, and shallow tidal zones while you crawl forward pushing the board with your arms. Your camera stays above the grit, your silhouette stays low, and wildlife stays calmer - letting you capture intimate, eye-level shots of shorebirds, waders, and small mammals. If you're travelling or otherwise want to pack light you can also use the StridePod directly on the ground.

Safe Use
StridePod is designed for low-level camera support on sand, mud, and very shallow water. Inspect all plugs, bolts, and tethers before each outing, and confirm that your bodyboard platform is sound and stable. Do not exceed the recommended 8 kg load (tripod head + camera + lens). Always keep gear centred over the board for balance.
Push your board forward rather than forcing the StridePod itself, and maintain a firm grip on your camera setup at all times.
Not suitable for use in surf, currents, windy conditions, or on steep inclines where the pod may slide or tip. Avoid deep or unstable mud where footing may be lost, and plan for incoming tides so you are not cut off from safe exit routes.
